Grievance Handling Training at Locals 1956 and 2402

Education and communication are the cornerstone of any movement. UAW Region 8 lives by this principle and works tirelessly at educating and informing the membership across our seventeen states. David “Shaggy” Firkins is the Educational Representative for the Region, and organizes and presents all types of training for Region 8 members.

March 21, 2026, David Firkins as in Jackson, Mississippi to conduct grievance handling training for Local 1956 and Local 2402. “Region 8 Servicing Represented Mike Maddox had requesting training for these two locals,” Firkins states. “It was a great day sharing with these two locals. Director Smith was able to call in and spend some time answering questions for the participants. Servicing Representatives or locals themselves can request training, to he held at your local or the region office.”
